The Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development condemns the Bombing of ISIS in Uganda

The Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development (ECHRD) condemns the bombing that took place yesterday, Sunday, October 24, 2021, for which ISIS claimed responsibility.

The explosion, which occurred in a restaurant east of the capital, Kampala, killed a citizen and seven others injured.
Video clips appeared on social media networks of a number of people in panic and confusion at the scene of the explosion, while a video clip circulated by a number of citizens and activists showed a group of terrified women talking to a media outlet about the explosion.
The ECHRD expresses its concern about the beginning of a wave of explosions in the African continent in recent times, especially with the movement of terrorist groups declaring their affiliation with ISIS from the Middle East to African countries.
The Egyptian coalition calls on the international community to provide technical and material support to African countries to counter the attempts of terrorist groups to infiltrate and tamper with the security of countries and citizens.
